Faculty & Staff
The people behind V. Lindsay aren’t just educators. They’re called. And it shows.
Your Child Will Know Their Teachers. And Their Teachers Will Know Them.
One of the most powerful things about a small school is that no child gets lost. At V. Lindsay, our teachers don’t just know your child’s name — they know their learning style, their personality, their gifts, and their struggles. They pray for them. They invest in them. They show up for them every single day.
Our faculty brings together decades of combined experience, advanced degrees, specialized certifications, and — most importantly — a genuine sense of calling to this work. This isn’t just a job for our team. It is a ministry.
“Every teacher at V. Lindsay was placed here on purpose. And your child will feel that.”
Leadership
Schari Fontus
SUPERINTENDENT / DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION · CENTRAL STATES CONFERENCE
Schari Fontus serves as Superintendent and Director of Education for the Central States Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, providing strategic oversight and educational leadership for V. Lindsay SDA School and the broader conference school system. Currently completing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership at Tennessee State University, she brings both scholarly depth and hands-on practitioner experience to everything she leads.
Under her leadership, V. Lindsay has entered the most transformational chapter in its history — earning STEM.org Accreditation, NAD Six-Year Accreditation, launching a state-of-the-art STREAM Lab and library, and pioneering a strength-based specialization model that has produced measurable academic gains for students.
Schari is also the founder of Obedient Life Enterprises, a faith-based leadership company built around the belief that obedience to God’s calling produces extraordinary results. She brings that same conviction to her leadership of V. Lindsay — a school she believes is only getting started.

Principal Jazmyne Damon
PRINCIPAL · ELA & READING SPECIALIST · PREK–8
Principal Jazmyne Damon is the heartbeat of V. Lindsay’s daily school life. A community-rooted educator originally from Southern California, she brings warmth, structure, and a genuine passion for helping children discover the joy of learning to every interaction she has with students, families, and staff.
Certified in special education and differentiated instruction, Principal Damon understands that every child learns differently — and she builds a school culture that reflects that belief every single day. She has contributed to PreK–K ELA curriculum development for the Mid-America Union, bringing her expertise in early literacy to bear on the youngest and most formative learners in our building.
Principal Damon leads V. Lindsay with the conviction that a school should be a safe, structured, joyful place where every child is seen and every family feels at home. She is the kind of principal families remember long after their children graduate.

Our Teachers
Dr. Reginald Dixon
MATHEMATICS & PHYSICAL EDUCATION · PREK–8
Dr. Reginald Dixon brings fifteen years of K–12 classroom experience and a Doctorate in Education to every lesson he teaches. His style is interactive, integrative, and intentional — he connects mathematics to the real world in ways that make students forget they’re learning, until they realize they can do things they never thought possible.
A member of Linwood SDA Church, Dr. Dixon keeps God at the center of his classroom. His door is always open, his expectations are always high, and his commitment to every student’s growth is absolute. He believes that excellence in the classroom is itself an act of worship — and he teaches that way every single day.

A veteran educator with advanced degrees in Education, Social Work, and Organizational Leadership, Ms. Fields brings a whole-child approach to every subject she teaches. Her background in social work means she sees her students as complete human beings — not just learners. She also serves at Emmanuel Family & Child Development Center, extending her commitment to the community she loves beyond the school building.
Ms. Fields is a cornerstone of the V. Lindsay community — experienced, deeply invested, and exactly the kind of educator every child deserves to have in their corner.
